Champion cheese!
Fort Atkinson, WI – Our Governor’s Select Cheddar won the American Cheese Society’s 2022 Judging and Competition, held in Portland, Ore. last week. This fine cheddar is made exclusively from Guernsey milk from the bovines at the Hoard's Dairyman Farm in Fort Atkinson, Wisc.
Governor’s Select competed in the Cheddar – aged through 12-month category, and bested cheeses from Cabot Creamery in Vermont and Tillamook Creamery in Oregon.
“It is a dream of every cheesemaker to receive a blue ribbon at the American Cheese Society cheese contest. The competition at this level is tough. We are thrilled to receive this honor,” shared Sandy Speich, Hoard’s Dairyman Farm Creamery Director.
